Every once in a while I miss being an active designer in a community where we critique the shit out of a rebrand. Holy hell this is bad. Kerning that makes it look like a feminist mag, the flag shape, lines in the tagline that read like navigation. This is supposed to look like a source we trust?

Brooklyn holding it down for a No Kings rally and Brooklyn Pride fest, despite the rainy weather. Vibes are good out there today!

Elmo can "feel empathy" is Elmo firing shots at the administration.

Haven't been too active here because I haven't been well, but I hope you're enjoying Spring. College kids are coming home in 9 days and I don't know where the school year went? How is it summer already?

NYC Spring in all its glory before the flowers go away

A little break from your doomscrolling. Happy Earth Day! We need to protect our national parks and forests from the grubby little greedy hands of this administration!

I’m not at the protests this time in NYC because we’re visiting the college kid, but was heartened to see all these people out in Swarthmore, PA! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The weather is crappy and it’s pouring at times, but huge crowds in NYC Bryant Park for today’s Hands Off protest.

A glorious Magnolia tree in peak bloom

First Magnolia sightings in Brooklyn. What a welcome sight after this long winter we've had.

I snapped this photo coming out of a meeting in lower Manhattan on this day 5 years ago. Then NYC shut down. This 2nd Trump presidency and Cuomo running for mayor is triggering all sorts of PTSD to those of us who lost family members to COVID in nursing homes.

Another day, another protest.
International Women’s Day, NYC.

These two photos of Mayor Michelle Wu and Rep. Brittany Pettersen capturing what it's like to be a working mom in America.

It's the last line that sends me:
"Thank you for your attention to this matter."

What's an illegal protest, Donald? Like the January 6th rioters you pardoned?

Happy 126th birthday to Mt. Rainier National Park! Thank you to all who stood up in protest to protect our public lands and federal workers. You may not be seeing this in the media, but Americans showed up to support our beautiful national parks yesterday.

A moment of calm for the timeline, National Parks edition—specifically one of my favorites, Olympic National Park. Our beautiful public lands need our love and support more than ever, and the staff who maintain and protect our parks deserve so much better than this.

Google actually renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America is an embarrassment.

A pause and a moment of calm for the timeline. Channeling this energy from last summer.

Took this photo of Adrian Piper’s mirror at the Met Museum last year. It’s hitting different this year.

Did Chuck Schumer's account get hacked? What even is this? Does he even know? I live in the same neighborhood as him, do I need to go to his apt and tell him his social media person has gone off the rails?

This app is giving me anxiety because I mostly follow news. It’s all politics all the time and I’m ready to bury my head in the sand. Quick! Send me some photos of your cat!

I managed to stay away from the news all day as intended. Just got "caught up." 😵‍💫

It’s so cold in London that there’s hoar frost on the ground.

Happy 2025! I'm starting off this year with a little bit of optimism, though I have no idea where it's coming from. The sun is shining today after a stormy evening and maybe that's enough. A few more thoughts on approaching the new year:

Should have donated sooner—admit I was motivated by Elon's urge to stop donating.
