Decided that today was the day to bring in ‘must do tasks’ I told my children they had to complete all 4 by the end of the day & write their name on the board when they had done each task. Delighted to see and hear how these little people are embracing choice and accountability! 🌟

Today we developed our understanding of regulation. Learners explored their backpacks & reflected on strategies & tools that support them when they experience big emotions. Lots of lovely chat about how important it is to Pause, choose & take the lead, to give our brain just what it needs! ✨

Today brought a wonderful ‘OH WOW!’ Moment as I shared my experience of mud painting with my class. The excitement was palpable, even just the photos sparked curiosity, well before their own hands got muddy. It was then a joy to watch them explore & connect with place and their community!

Today we read ‘Silly Billy’ which looks at children’s worries & how we cope with them.
Grandma comes to help with some Guatamalen worry dolls. After our story many children expressed a wish for their own worry doll.
So that is what we spent our afternoon creating, our own worry dolls!

I kicked off my day with my P2 class I’ll be teaching next year by reading them one of my favourites 🤩 I’ll never tire of seeing the wonder on children’s faces when I read this book! Afterwards, we began turning our classroom into a home by creating some brilliant self portraits!

We stepped into a French speaking world, creating families, homes, and even pets that became the heart of our adventures. Language had real purpose, children asked questions, created, & spoke French in role, it became lived, playful, and full of imagination! #UoEpgdeP @morayhouse.bsky.social

We explored found poetry. The result? Every single child created a poem. The room buzzed with creativity, collaboration, and joy. A reminder of how inclusive and exciting writing can be when rooted in play. #UoEpgdeP @morayhouse.bsky.social
