This is what our police service did yesterday. It’s honestly appalling. The unhoused have NOWHERE else to go. This is inhumane, cruel and a fundamental misunderstanding of what public safety is. What else do they expect them to do. They were using drones, horses, they ticked for loitering.

It’s collaborative but provinces are the ones who make the purchase and it’s our province who is choosing to screw us out of safe and effective vaccines.

I cannot believe council appointed THIS man to work on the police commission. What were they thinking? Do they care about our most vulnerable citizens at all? If he is focussed on public safety, we all become less safe.

Nobody wants a provincial police force. Like fund our classrooms, support our most vulnerable, fund healthcare… this is such a waste. That they took out of their freaking platform.

Extremely concerned the deputy chief of staff of the premier of Alberta is spinning a very incorrect narrative about the Notwithstanding Clause… because yes, it does undermine fundamental rights and freedoms protected under the Charter.

You really need to be more responsible with the messaging of your headlines. This is a very dangerous situation for the entire globe; good and honest reporting is essential. Leaving out the bulk of the statement is not ok.

Now, the feds are supposed to make sure there aren’t any vaccine supply gaps; I would argue Alberta’s provincial government is CAUSING a vaccine supply gap.

It seems the premier believes that the amount of surgeries done in CSFs is a net overall increase when surgical volumes only increased by 3.5% overall… here’s where she got the stat… AHS annual report. And this was over a year ago.

Waitlist has grown, amount of cancer surgeries completed in target down… I am not seeing 62k additional surgeries though…not sure where this figure came from.

They also claimed the board would help find a new CEO “in the coming months” when she was let go… and now the board is gone. Why say that if you intended on getting rid of the board?
The board didn’t disappear from the org chart until Feb. 3rd update. It isn’t mentioned anywhere they would be gone
