The third book is The Vanishing of Josephine Reynolds by Jennifer Moorman. The North Woods has a fascinating structure—the story skips ahead years and generations and is interspersed with songs, photos, and other short pieces. I like being with characters longer though.

My October reads: The Ten Thousand Doors of January is also in my stack. Aiming to be an Alix E. Harrow completist.
