I ate rice pudding every day for 6 months until it became my sworn enemy. Now I can eat it sometimes and it's great but the obsession never came back. And that's just how it goes.

This really works. I had to write a 3 page thing and kept putting it off and then decided to write one paragraph per writing session, twice a day. I judged myself that it wasn't enough but did it anyway . And got the 3 page thing done in a week and on time.

I know that procrastination only feels good for the first second when I decide to put something off. And then during the "I'm putting something off" hours - I'm in hell. And then my shame spiral begins. Try to re-direct during that FIRST second by remembering what Near Future You will feel.

I'm the biggest advocate for ADHD medication. Vyvanse has changed and saved my life. BUT it isn't magic. It doesn't make know WHAT to do WHEN. I have to use skills after I take my pills in order to allow the focus/calm (from the pills) to work for what I've planned with my skills.

There's nothing wrong with your energy or picking skills . Toxic people seek out honest, vulnerable people who are looking for connection. They'll pretend that they're who you've been looking for. What's some bs you're willing to drop about why you got caught up with a toxic person?

I swear this works. The last time I was in an absolute freeze, I stopped and asked myself, "What is this freeze telling me?" Turns out, I needed to PAUSE for a few minutes, and re-approach all my work from a mindset of "I'm a chill person doing a LOT but no worries. It's not life or death."
