Dr. King cake… I’ve been making a cake on this day for my family for the past 16 years… here is this year’s cake: double chocolate layer with caramel frosting, strawberry top layer with strawberry icing.

Every year, for the past 16 years, I have baked a cake for Dr. King Jr. day. My kids grew up knowing the importance of the day. We light candles and make a wish for the change we want to see in the world. I’m so grateful I will be baking a cake to honor a real hero on 1/20 and not that other guy.
