My kid's 5th grade class is reading The Westing Game, and my Gen X reader heart is singing. I loved that book. I had the cover pictured here, and it was a library binding. That means it was one of the books my aunt Betsy sent me.

At 🦃, G bonded with an adult step-cousin who also plays flute. They had an impromptu flute practice session. I thanked Tessa for being so kind to G and she replied "Kind? She was kind to ME. She's cool. When you write your parenting book I'll read it." The kid baffles and delights me.

This guy is clearing the leaves from the snowblower path so we can leave and not worry about the snow blocking his shed. His progeny, to whom he gave his autistic brain tendencies, is melting the fuck down because she wanted to leave at noon. I'm quietly folding laundry. As one does.
