A Wreck of Seabirds by Karleah Olson ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I borrowed this book not knowing anything about it other than it is set in coastal Western Australia. A very interesting book, I liked how woven the stories of the 2 protagonists are, but there are no easy resolutions 📚💙 Gothic, suspense, family, the sea!

Holiday read: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💙📚🏖️
Stone & Sky by Ben Aaronovitch, the latest in the Rivers of London series. Ask me how much I love Abigail?! ❤️ She is one of the best characters written, so unbelievably clever, and the 🦊🦊🦊 spy network 😚👌. Can't wait for the next one! Will Lesley May make a reappearance?

Just finished: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. 5 ⭐ read, best book I've read this year. 📚💙 Poignant, funny, sad, moving story about friendship, love, gaming and family. I adored this book and will be thinking about it for years to come.

Now reading: Knave of Diamonds by Leslie R King. It's book 19 in the Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes series. It's such comfort reading, I love these characters, Mary Russell is a bad ass who is both brains and brawn. 10/10 would recommend the whole series. 📚💙

Now reading: I've borrowed it from the library and I've only got 7 days left and I'm only 35% of the way through. I'm going to have to work out how to extend the borrow time. 🤷‍♀️ 📚💙

Borrowed this on my Kobo from the local library. Had to put it on hold and wait a month or 2 but Overdrive makes the process so easy! I'm very, very impressed with Kobo and Overdrive - 10/10 would recommend. I'll report back on the book when I've read it.

The Last Kingdom by Bernard Cornwell. 5⭐- both the books and the TV series are definitely worth a go. I am in love with TV Uhtred, not the actor who plays him, only Uhtred of Bebbanburg.

In Australia voting is compulsory & local schools become polling places. Best thing about election day is "Democracy Sausage" where school PTAs sell 🌭 to raise money . Even better if they have a 🍰 stall as well! You can check if your local school is participating at democracysausage.org #demsausage
