AND Roger Goodell (commissioner of the NFL) has threatened fines against any player taking a knee or any other action Trump might find inappropriate. Seriously?! I'd pay the fine.

And yet my husband and I (public school teachers) will pay over $30,000 for 2024. Tell me how this makes sense. I don't mind paying taxes if they go to programs that make life better for everyone, (especially those who make less), but in the meantime all those programs are being cut.

...experience any kind of consequences for their choices. I rarely got blamed by parents for students' low grades in the 90s and early 2000s.

I'm a high school teacher of 30 years, and I must respectfully disagree that education hasn't changed. Much about education has improved since I started, but what has changed is the pull of social media and a large population of parents who either don't know how to parent or won't let their kids...
