Mark Carney look alike.

The commentators were woefully ignorant of the existing CUSMA and Ford didn't clarify well. The implication was that Canada has had egregious tariffs in place all along. And nobody ever explains the Dairy situation properly. 😡

That was a completely awkward interview. The CNBC interviewer was implying that Canada was playing games and asked why doesn't Canada remove the old tariffs that had existed. Ford didn't properly explain that we had no tariffs! It's frustrating when the interviewers don't have a clue!

I agree. He uses complex and intelligent sentence structure, rather than short, stupid sound bites. His conversation today with Trump will be a fascinating display of contrasts in intellect. Frustrating for Carney I'm sure.

That's chicken pox in the pic.

Love it!

I'm on your side FFS. I hate Trump with the heat of a thousand suns, but find it ridiculous that people think the King can interject about whatever he wants or that he sat down and issued an invitation for a visit. That's on Starmer, and I can only hope he has some ulterior motive.

A comment said to someone as she's leaving church is very different than an official statement.

A lot of you weren't paying attention in school. The monarch never will initiate an invitation to a foreign politician. It is requested by the UK Prime Minister and then the office of the King complies.

The Prime Minister of Britain has to ask the King to invite Trump. The monarch does not initiate invitations to political figures unless requested by the government. The office of the King would have had a say in where the meeting would take place, and they chose Balmoral.

I agree. I'm shocked that so many Canadians don't seem to understand the role of our Monarch.....especially a Canadian MP!

No, she would not have. She made no statement about Brexit, nor did she about the Scottish referendum. Just two examples. They are constitutionally obliged to remain neutral. Mr. Angus knows this

He's not allowed to make political statements unless the elected governing body asks him to do so. Think about it... Do you really want Charles spouting off on every political issue?
If and when the Canadian government asks for his words of support, he will give them.
