We weren't prepared, which is how it happened. We were complacent that democracy was a spectator sport and we could tune out and it would just go by itself. We were proud of not paying attention and laughing at policy wonks, as if that's not what you want in a politician. We wanted bumper stickers 🤷‍♀️

He said he was going to do this during the campaign. Not a shock. I hope the people who refused to vote for Harris over Gaza are happy with their purity and the outcome it wrought.

I hope everything turns out ok!

Republicans. Republicans in power are spineless cowards. Democrats are calling him out but they don't have the votes to impeach because Republicans are spineless cowards. Blame the right people.

Maga seems to be staunchly against any intervention in the middle east. That seems to be their definition of America first. What's the likelihood that the maga faction in Congress abandons him over this? Wishful thinking, but I'm grasping at straws.

Yes, but be aware that will likely lead to active shooting between those groups.

They don't think Catholics are Christian. Radical right Catholics are in for a rude awakening when they realize evangelicals hate them. It's not shocking that they don't like the Pope - sometimes they call the Pope the antichrist.

Too many people don't understand the relationship between Catholicism and protestantism, especially evangelical fundamentalism, or the different factions within Catholicism. evangelicals claim the word Christian, and they imply all Christians are like them, what they aren't.

I've seen assessments that 5.2 million people marched yesterday. The media is low balling it for some reason.

I've seen assessments that 5.2 million people were in the streets yesterday. It's was a LOT more than hundreds of thousands.

It's the same old mudsill argument given by James Henry Hammond in 1858 defending slavery as the only proper organization of society. Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it. But they're dooming me to repeat it as well.

Same question we've been asking from the beginning - who counts as "we the people"?Musk's answer is the very rich.No one can tell him what to do, or they're violating his freedom. He doesn't care whether he violates anyone else's freedom. Same argument as enslavers wanting their freedom to enslave.

They argue that children of undocumented parents are not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, so the citizenship clause doesn't apply. But if they committed a crime, would they say the US does not have the jurisdiction to arrest them? No: they are subject to the jurisdiction of the US.

Just like they did to the post office. And the prison system. And like they're trying to do to education. They break it on purpose, point to the parts that are broken, and claim privatizing it is the only way to fix it, then laugh all the way to the bank.

See Jay Kuo's analysis of that false claim. He's trolling to get us to say it was rigged to justify January 6th. The claim makes no sense and all evidence says the opposite.

The Nazis think so too. The idiots trying to say they aren't being open about liking Nazis are trying to protect themselves from the knowledge that they support Nazis. Nazis are on their side, and that should tell you all you need to know.

netanyahu did so help elect Trump by using the Gaza protests in exchange for Trump letting him annex Gaza and the West Bank and obliterate Palestine, as he's wanted to do for a long time. 3rd party voters who couldn't vote for Harris because of Gaza? Congratulations, you doomed all of Palestine.

He always sounds like a middle school kid who didn't read the assignment and babbles to convince the teacher that letting him shut up and get away with it is better for the class than listening to the stream of consciousness rambling. And apparently it works.

A lot of people are blaming Garland and have very little evidence aside from the results, while ignoring the specific evidence of the reasons for those results from the literal legal analyst. It's the other side that ignores evidence, guys.i don't like it either, but blame the right people: SCOTUS

And an oath that he has already violated in such a way that disqualifies him from holding the office again. He pretends the emoluments clause doesn't exist, and wants to ignore the 14th amendment birthright citizenship and has promised to be a dictator, but only on day one. I won't watch the farce.
