this is why I have lost the ability to answer “how are you” we have no word for “everything is fine and simultaneously nothing is fine and the everything that is fine makes the nothing that is fine feel like one of those horror movie creatures that get closer every time you shut your eyes“

The RFK Jr. version of health, where health creates health and healthy people don't get sick and the thing that keeps you healthy is /living the right way/ is very seductive to a lot of people. It also places the burden of illness back on the ill, which decreases the value of human life.
