And to add…. If they are making an event public…. And not just students otherwise they’re just scamming people.

That’s crap. It should be on your ticket. If the event holders are making it public- then it’s their responsibility to let you know where it is. That’s careless. I would complain and demand your money back- or at least a credit for the inconvenience!
