Spotted at an al fresco dining place. THE CAT was a no show. Was curious to see if it bore any resemblance to the drawing.

Constructed with wood leftover from other projects that I carved and reshaped. Made up of four parts, this crawler is about five feet long. Why I made this ten years ago escapes me now. Entitled 'Alupihan', centipede in Filipino.

I recycle wood retrieved from demolished old houses. The weathered wood speaks to me of so much history. I milled off the surface of one such post and used it to make this. It's made from Yakal (Shorea astylosa), a Philippine hardwood.
