Poor Mount Stewart is really battered after Storm Eowyn in January but lots of in bloom daffs today made it feel like a touch of spring is creeping through!

Altogether more humbled this morning after coming home to a very cold house last night after working away this week and at the gig last night. Boiler is on the blink, it’s freezing outside and I slept with a hat on. Please cross all your fingers and toes that plumber fixes today!!!

I missed the rugby last night as I was enjoying this. We read it as a class novel in P7 before we went to The Somme as part of our school trip. It’s stayed with me all these years. Hugely emotive to see it on stage last night and judging by the amount of 🥲 in the row I wasn’t the only one!
