I see so many posters I don't much care for, but I really like the tag line on @scottishopera.bsky.social's Boheme poster. It's a fantastic cast (I would listen to Hye-Youn Lee sing anything) and I'm quietly devastated that I just signed a contract on a job that means I won't be in Scotland for it.

It's a month of many rehearsals for four different Fringe shows and some development on the PPP musical. This week I've been working with Fiona Moon on her first solo show, Keep It Fringe recipient A Brief History of Neurodivergence. A delightfully fast-paced, interactive and informative hour!

Sometimes Bones gets overstimulated by a fuss and the murder instinct kicks in, but he doesn't like being violent so he just purrs extra hard to remind himself that he's a sweet boy. (I love play-fighting with cats, so I'm always ready to provide temptation, but he's just a very very good boy.)

I don't know much about children but I feel like Attempts On Her Life is probably not for 7-9 year olds. Am I just out of the loop? Was I just a late bloomer when it came to reading experimental postmodern texts? Or is Amazon's listing full of shit?

This week Edinburgh Acting School has been getting our new studio spaces set up in @summerhallarts.bsky.social. We've been busy painting and kitting it out, and on Monday I'll be running the first Actors' Gym in the new space - if you're a professional actor in Edinburgh, grab a drop-in ticket!

Bones has always been a cat who forgets to put his tongue away after a wash, but since having a fang removed last year it peeks out almost constantly because nothing about this boy is serious. Look at this nonsense. You can't hear but he's purring like a tank engine because the heated blanket is on.

There are also storytelling elements that draw directly on my life, for which @mdbolsover.bsky.social is creating some cool images using the various bits of media in which I saw elements of my experience reflected - my connection to Samara is no surprise if you've seen Grave!

For one of our projects @mdbolsover.bsky.social and I decided we needed a magic lantern, so we now have a Planck one from some time between 1870 and 1900 and will need to figure out how to fit it with an LED (I'm not to be trusted with paraffin burners).
