I ate leftover pizza (gluten free but w/ real cheese…’cause fuck it the end of the world is nigh and I’m going out eating cheese) and cassava chips with dill pickles for lunch, but I killed it doing my chores/errands. Very proud of myself for finally washing my car.

Second ? Mock up corset. I think one fits well enough to add hardware. The bra cups are presenting a challenge, but I shall persevere.

So obsessed with 20s/30s burlesque/circus. Finally finished the “panties”. All work was done by hand. Imagine a birdcage skirt or maybe a fluffy bustle skirt and a corset.

So. Yesterday this pattern was giving bike shorts. Today, we are closer to vintage circus “panty”. Sadly my sewing machine doesn’t want to sew on stretch velvet so these are getting done slowly by hand.

Y’all. Part of making magic out of this madness is a foray into circus and burlesque history. Today I started the “bloomers”. I’ve been sewing for 40 years. I was a size 8, now I’m a 12, EXCEPT I’m exactly the same size I have always been. Ugh.
