I'm assuming that you mean well and are frustrated possibly scared and that's certainly understandable. But your "you aren't doing it right" attitude does not help lead anyone to doing better.

Working towards better isn't always about elections. Sometimes it's building community and mutual aid. Sometimes it's educating. Sometimes it's helping people get access when they couldn't get access. Sometimes it's advocacy and activism. Sometimes it's getting voices heard. No one thing.

I am a pragmatist. I do what I can with what I have. That does not mean I am unaware of or refusing to accept reality. It means I know there's no magic pill and will keep grinding away towards better as much as I am able, and protecting those more vulnerable than me when possible.

As far as "up in arms" goes, part of my argument towards the 2nd ammendment fanatics is and has been that, no matter how many individual weapons we have, we will not be able to match the American military. IF Felon47 declares martial law and tries military use on American soil, we are truly fucked.

It's interesting how you think you get to decide what I believe. I actually am one of those who has been talking about elections, at least federal ones, with an asterisk since he was re-elected. I don't think we can assume we'll have them. I think we still have to try or we WILL have given up.

Did you miss the "keep working towards better" part? Forever accept? No. In the moment, accept the current reality? Yes. AND WORK TOWARDS BETTER. Denial and fantasy don't help the people being harmed right now. Actually doing the work in between elections is where the general populace falters.

"Just as guilty" isn't accurate though. There is a spectrum. Not actively trying to break the government, turns out, is preferable. If nothing else, I really hope people learn that "voting for the lesser evil", i.e. harm reduction, is important. Keep working towards better AND protect who you can.

It'd be the voters' fault if it was actually a landslide. "Eeking out a win by the skin of our teeth" is actually the voters' fault (and media's), but "mandate" is just one more lie.

Can the media stop referring to being undocumented as a "crime", please? It's not, and accurate naming might help push back against some of the "they're all criminals" BS.

I would like him to list the "laws on the books" he's referring to. Show your work. Be specific.

He battled congress for funding so many times...I'm kind of glad he can't see this abomination.

This is being done deliberately to keep as much power with older white men who have money and resources as possible.

What about re-registering when someone moves? I've moved twice in the past 10 years and likely will again in the next 5.

This is also going to make registering the newly-old enough voters more difficult. And how do young people typically vote (if they vote)?

As a card-carrying Bitch, I would like it noted that he ain't one of ours. "Ass-wipe" would be more accurate.
