I feel strong parallels with growing up indoctrinated and later rejecting the church. You can easily throw away the OBVIOUS big bad ideas, but there's still snatches of prayers/ hymns/ bible verses & stories that sometimes pop up in my head. I imagine leaving maga is a similar experience.
