I like to bake, but I improvise, so a lot of my efforts turn out ungood.
Today I made Italian and rye bread, and these little apricot, almond and mascarpone crostadas with a sour cream pie crust. They ran all over the place in the oven, but they look better "in post."

I'm endeavoring to make a chicken pot pie from scratch. Today I baked the chicken, made the filling and the dough. Tomorrow I will put it together and bake it. I hope it's good.

I made a big pan of pasta with garden tomatoes, snap peas, onions and herbs in a garlic/white wine/lemon sauce. It was very good. I had it with cod filets, which I have been craving.

I prepped food for after work, and expecting a goddamn parade. A mushroom and herb fritata with Swiss and parmesan cheese and a big Vietnamese bun salad with peanut dressing. That'll make a few servings, like the one pictured.
