Y’know, I may complain about things out of my control at my job, but really, I do enjoy having it. It’s loads better than my old job, where I was berated for doing things “wrong” and helping out where I could, so really, it’s not as bad as I make it out to be

Anyway, work ramble over. I try to keep my real life away from here (or anywhere lmao) but I just needed to ramble for a moment ha ha #workdiary

I just hope she’s okay, is all. I do wish we could have learned more from each other, but it wasn’t meant to be. I hope nothing bad happens to her, her family or anyone who doesn’t deserve it. Especially because the world is going to hell in a hand basket.

I found out about it from one of my managers, because ya know; I trained her and wanted to know how she was doing. And it just makes me feel sad and icky. But there’s nothing I could really do about it, because it wasn’t my business. And I, as an outsider, should respect their wishes.

Now, she didn’t quit of her own choosing. Her husband made her quit. Which, on one hand, i understand. Only working a few hours everyday can take a toll on one’s home life. But at the same time, it irks me, just for the misogyny of it. Her husband making her quit a job she sought out…

I was hoping she would stay at my job and id see her once in a while, but that never happened. She was here one day and gone about a month later. I hoped the worst hadn’t happened to her, especially with everything going on. Thankfully it didn’t and I only hope for the best for her.

This (former) coworker is an immigrant from Egypt, which I thought was super cool, especially when wanting to broaden your horizons in the world. We got along well, despite my inability to teach. That was entirely on me, not on her. I’m a learner by seeing and then doing, if that makes sense.
