Yes! There’s growth in facing discomfort. It’s uncomfortable for people to see disability. We are whole when all parts of us are recognized, not looked passed.

My bff is a HS Bio teacher in a district near Tulsa. They’ve been non-compliant for a while, but currently afraid of losing her credential and just leaving the profession entirely. Noncompliance can work, but there will be blow back. Not if, but when.

Also folks should know there are many Alt text generators out there if they’re unsure of what to write… like me, who overthinks it every time.
