lololol - my adult kids laugh at me every single time I use the term "top" and each time I am confused. One of the many terms they find amusing/cringe. Another one is when I ask them if they "hooked up with so and so" which to me simply means did you get together. Oh well.

I definitely remember saying no to a date (circa 1989) which included the shudder inducing description of: "Want to take a jacuzzi?"

Around age 8 (circa 1970), my British mum said to me during an eclipse : “don’t look at it, love, or you’ll go blind.” I HAD ALREADY GLANCED AT IT! {{terror}}
Side note: we were driving to the bowling alley for mum’s weekly bowling league game. So I have an association with bowling and eclipses. 🎳🌝👀

I concur with this hatred in every possible way. We also have a "smart" thermostat, which I loathe. We also have timer light switches, which were inflicted on me during a bathroom remodel. All these stupid switches do is turn off at the wrong freaking time and leave me in the dark in the shower.
