its actually pretty common for jp artists to just like, nuke their entire account and move on when they fall out of fandoms </3

and unfortunately they hate and dont wanna be criticized and just want investor money so its easier to ban people who want to critique you or feign ignorance that your automated moderation system can NEVER be wrong as it bans journalists for, like, parodying a song that mentions killing or w/e

i feel like the line between nazi bar and "techbros who are just THAT fucking ignorant" is pretty thin LOL. id like to think they're not musk levels of "my heart goes out to you" 🤪, but ive learned that tech startups really do tend to just be the most ignorant ppl sometimes lol

so at this point my dreams of them being a serious competitor for ppl to consider moving to are dead and now we're between "platform with little to no fandom presence and a mods team that keeps targeting vulnerable ppl for existing" and "content exists but its a literal nazi bar" so thats neat!

like bsky is still ok but moderation is fumbling BAD, no comms team, no features that would make it actually competitive with twitter bc "well the product is the code not platform!' despite treating itself as a twitter alternative early on so like ok? lol

theres like maybe 4-5 jp twst accs who post here and even then they mostly put their work on twitter and sometimes bsky if they remember its so SAD. i peeked at twit to see the livestream reactions and got so frustrated that musk was allowed to goddamn buy it at all :/

yeah i feel this same way LOL. pixiv isn't utilized as much as it used to be (or so I feel?) and so now it's a double whammy wherein they're not only throwing their stuff only on twitter, but twitter is ass for archiving so even if the website wasn't musk/nazi backed it's still shitty to keep up
