Just watched Weapons (finally, couldn't get to it in the theaters) and it was very, VERY good. Definitely horror, but more like a cross between The Twilight Zone and a Ray Bradbury short story, and I don't make either comparison lightly; not the same level as either, quite, (cont)

I was lucky enough to hear Jane Goodall speak many years ago in Watertown, SD. Another attendee asked her, "if you could ask everyone to just one thing to save animals, what would it be?"
Her answer was, "walk your dog." She then gave a gently scathing lecture on saving the animals in front of you.

Just booked my hotel for D23 2026 (booked but not paid, and cancelable in case I can't get tix). Motel 6 Maingate is already booked solid - my bad for waiting until today to check - so we'll be at the Castle Inn.

#FantasticFour was easily the best looking Marvel movie in ages, and @mgiacchino.bsky.social 's score was incredible, though I expected nothing less. Good - not great - movie, which is still saying something as I was never a fan the Fantastic Four in general.

Quandry: go see Fantastic Four at 2 pm in a theater that is not quite as full and most idiots are still at work (I'm in training and the trainer called in sick so I have the day off) or go see the kids screening of Across the Spiderverse at 1 and then a busy showing of F4 at 5?

Gah, wasn't planning on upgrading my PC until this spring, but THANKS #FFXIV, now I have to do it this fall or the game could break. I think WoW gave us like 3 years on old OS's before not supporting them.

Just saw #Superman, and as probably one of the biggest MCU fans out there, I have to say that Disney and Feige should be more than a little concerned. The bar for F4 was just set insanely high.
