Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I quit drinking alcohol in 2020 but it's unrelated to the heart disease. I also do body weight exercises. I should definitely improve my sleep.

Is there evidence to restrict cardio to zone 2? I was considering adding speed work to work on other goals.

Being recently RIF'ed due to the current administration's policies, I am learning the importance of a diverse social network.

It has been a slow process of building a network outside public service after 23 years of mostly building a network in public service.

I have set routes for different distances. I find that mentally it makes it easier to get started when I know what to expect.

Most of our training should be easy.

Running easy and taking walk breaks when HR is high makes us more likely to want to and be able to do it again tomorrow.

Thank you for your comment. Since lipoprotein(a) [lp(a)] isn't affected by diet or exercise, I’m focusing on lowering other risk factors by reducing saturated fat, eating fiber-rich whole foods, limiting sodium, and continuing with zone 2 cardio to my routine. Do you have any other tips?
