I am so unbelievably honored to have contributed a short story in verse to ONWARD, an eco-anthology edited by the incredible Nora Shalaway Carpenter! Look at that roster of contributors!! My story is about a young man who’s going to lose his home to the TVA’s construction of Tellico Lake.

I am so deeply honored that the Texas Library Association has selected SUNRISE NIGHTS as a TAYSHAS pick. This is my fifth TAYSHAS book (out of five YA novels) and I think it is not an exaggeration to say that Texas librarians might be the biggest factor in my still being able to publish books.

Last night I finished the draft of LOVE, LIKE APPLES. Sure, I need to go back through and edit. But there’s now a beginning, middle, and end. And I’m very excited for when this phrase becomes meaningful to you.
