Tennessee court enjoins the deployment of National Guard troops to Memphis.

It’s not about law and order when they’re not following the law.

How can Sen. Hagerty act so shocked? The January Report disclosed retrieving toll records for calls from WH to a handful of senators on night of J6. And it was public that he was in that handful. It’d be crazy for a prosecutor not to have those records when the calls were a big part of indictment.

We’re missing basic civics here. It’s Congress—not the President—that has the constitutional power to call out the Guard. Congress’s laws let presidents deploy under narrow, specific circumstances. For nearly 250 years, courts have enforced those limits to prevent abuse of power.

The voucher program takes sales tax money paid by everyone all over the state and redistributes it to wealthier families who were already in private schools in a handful of suburbs & cities.

“Evenly divided” here means half of the private school vouchers go to families making less than the ~$170,000 limit, which is 95% of Tennessee families and half go to families making even more, which is the wealthiest 5% of Tennesseans.

During 2024 campaign, Trump lied and disowned Project 2025. CNN and others in media actually fact-checked Democrats for deceiving & misleading voters by linking it to Trump.

But it’s been the operational blueprint for his presidency from the jump.

Having a Dr. Evil style meeting on how your detailed plans are finally falling into place seems a questionable strategy.

Tennessee law doesn’t allow the AG to quietly withdraw or make backdated revisions to its formal opinions. And this is no time to create legal uncertainty or to avoid providing essential guidance on whether this irregular deployment is lawful.
September 30, 2025 at 7:02 PM
In an opinion from just last year, the AG confirmed that the National Guard was subject to the Tennessee Constitution. But in a backdated revision, the AG claims uncertainty about whether the Tennessee Constitution applies to the National Guard at all.
September 30, 2025 at 7:02 PM
In a 2021 Opinion the AG stated deployments were permitted only “under very limited circumstances,” and the type of crime-fighting mission in the President’s Executive Order doesn’t qualify—at least according to what the AG used to think. That Opinion is now just a blank page.

One out of every four dollars spent on health care in TN comes from Medicaid. Medicaid covers more than 50% of births and almost 60% of Tennesseans in nursing homes.

Eight of Tennessee’s members of Congress put Medicaid on the chopping block tonight to cut taxes for rich folks.

Lots of folks cheering on Trump/Musk illegally blocking federal funds are eventually going to realize that gutting Social Security has always been their endgame.
