Dog walking science fiction/fantasy writer from Haworth, NJ, living in Toronto. I love cats, redheads, punk rock, heavy metal, film noir, good books, spicy foods, comic books, model airplanes, steampunk and dragons!
Seriously considering ditching Facebook. Far too many trolls. Just because I refer to a very beautiful woman as a goddess, that doesn’t mean I want unsolicited responses from dominatrixes (is that even a word?). I’m just complimenting that person!

I guess in Trump speak, two weeks means two days!

I’m almost finished with the first draft of “Harmony Reigns,” the follow up to “The Children of Winter”. Next comes the hard part, editing. I’ll wait a few weeks so I can look at it from a fresh perspective. Meanwhile, back to the three other novels I’m working on. 📚💻✒️

Wearing my Dead Boys “Sonic Reducer” t-shirt, I was reminded of the irony of the band’s name, since only one original member, guitarist Cheetah Chrome (Eugene O’Connor) is still alive. Still, it’s a great punk anthem. If I ever learn to play electric guitar, that’s the first song I will play, loud!🎸

Time to melt the ICE! Turn up the heat, Angelinos! Enough is enough!

A dull Sunday, but I saw these lovely flowers on a dog walk.

I’m considering rewriting “At the Ground Level,” a science fiction short story I first created in 1981 while I was attending San Francisco State University. I like the first line: “Rhadamanthus Gant awoke one morning to discover that his apartment was no longer in love with him.”

Have today’s children really become so freaking moronic that we have to warn them that it’s not a good idea to shove paperclips into laptop ports to produce a spark? I weep for the future!

Possible alternate cover for “Red Sword, Red Queen.” Not sure which one Margarita Monet would prefer. I guess I’ll ask her.

Potential cover art for “Red Sword, Red Queen”. Yes, it’s AI generated. I’m poor. I can’t afford a cover by Michael Whelan, Gerald Brom or Dawn McTeague.

I am writing a private, hand-written steampunk dragon adventure, “Red Sword. Red Queen: The Rise of Queen Wentaris the Bold.” I’m going to use a leather journal and a red ink fountain pen. It’s being created strictly for Margarita Monet of “Edge of Paradise,” one copy only.

Just watched “Doctor Who: The Reality War.” Wow! Lots of surprises and twists I didn’t expect. Another Doctor shows up, but it’s not who I thought it would be.The end confirmed an online rumor, which I love. No spoilers. Watch it!

Trump’s tariffs are gone and so is Musk. A good early start to the weekend!

I’m tired of this “rollercoaster” Spring. Today it’s sunny and 22C, Tomorrow it’s only going to be 13C and rainy. Then it’s going back up to 22C on Thursday, but only 17C on Friday. Nuts! Bring in Summer already!

Mr. Bone Spurs laying a wreath at Arlington National Cemetary for brave people he called “suckers” and “losers” is the ultimate insult.

Manage to sneak an hour to watch Doctor Who “Wish World.” It had a slow start, but quickly became strange and interesting. Archie Punjabi is wonderful as The Rani. She has that same warped, sexy energy Kate O’Mara brought to the role, part mad scientist, part dominatrix. The Reality War awaits!

For me, writing is like breathing. I can’t stop writing any more than I can stop breathing.

Wow! I just watch “The Interstellar Song Contest,” the Second Season finale of “Doctor Who.” The writing is superb. This felt more like a David Tennant episode, it was so perfect. As for the “big reveal” of Mrs. Flood’s true identity, all I will say is “I knew it!” Also the return of an old friend!

Who else wants a new, live action Taarna movie? I suggest Jessica Chastain as Taarna.

We had a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System yesterday. Everyone’s phone blared for one minute. I wish I could have inserted the text: “Warning, Earthlings. Dakek spacecraft have been sighted over all major cities. The Doctor says “Run…now!!!”😃

Memory is a strange thing. I remember when I was attending San Francisco State University, there was a restaurant at 44th Street and Taraval wherevyou could get delicious Chinese Green Onion Pancakes (Con You Bing). My Meta AI says it’s “House of Pancakes,” 937 Taraval Street. Take the L Taraval.

As an American who hates Trump’s moronic tariffs, I have been trying to buy local Canadian products. But I can’t find any Canadian made toothpaste here in Toronto. Does anyone know of there is any Canadian toothpaste?

Busy writing “Harmony Reigns,” the sequel to “The Children of Winter.” I got 30 pages done yesterday.

I finally got to watch all four new “Doctor Who” episodes. The best ones were “Lux,” particularly the animation scenes. I also really liked “Lucky Day,” which made me realize how much I miss Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. Pete McTighe is a writer who gets Doctor Who at a deep level. Who is Mrs. Flood

I rewatched an old favorite, “The Hunger,” a strange, atmospheric, haunting and sexy vampire film from 1983. The love scene between Catherine Deneuve and Susan Sarandon is astonishingly hot. Plus it stars wonderful acting by David Bowie, great special effects and Bauhaus singing “Bela Lugosi’s Dead”
