Here's another way of comparing constant benefits: a 0.02% annual chance of death is 18hr lost (averaging between worlds where you lose many hours and where you lose none) over the next ten years. Most people would probably rather buy a mask than lose 18hr.

I wrote some code that uses the Bluesky API to pull out comments and show them on the blog post. I have something similar for LessWrong and the EA Forum. I used to have this for FB but they got rid of the API, even for public posts.

How would you figure out whether it's worth it for people to have masks on hand without trying to compare the costs and benefits? Is your objection to trying to do that comparison in dollars?

As in AC? No. We also run these fans all winter, even when its very cold. This many dancers do put out a lot of heat.
