Friend update, they're just about to start S2 and are asking me difficult questions like, who is my favourite character? I fear I've just sent a 10-page essay back outlining my love and affection for all of them 😀.

Caught up with friends yesterday. They did the usual, asked what I'd been up too, so I said I'd been away & to cut a long story short, I basically told them the impact #OFMD has had on me. They're now going to watch it & tell me what they think. I feel like I'm waiting for the results of an exam 🫣

I'm delighted to announce that Our Flag Means Community's first event, The Wee Con, raised almost £2700 for our chosen charities ❤️ Both donations (including all processing fees) were submitted today!

Am doing a lot of reflecting, and at this point, I'm not sure what has changed me most, the show or fandom? #OFMD was definitely the catalyst, the fandom the continuity. All I know is, because I watched a show, I found a community and now things have been changed for good.

Huge thank you to the organisers of #TheWeeCon. It was my first #OFMD event and the most fun I've had on land in ages. Everyone there was lovely, funny, creative, kind, generous & the best crew of pirates you could ever hope to meet. Thank you all. My heart runneth over ❤️.
