Currently a PHD student at Indiana Tech studying Global Leadership with a dissertation focus on Global Leadership regarding drugs, more specifically, drug education, with 10 years of experience in social work, working in both private and public sectors.
As a researcher in global leadership on drug education and prevention, I am troubled by the current situation. The government's singular focus on hemp as the gateway drug, while the real gateway drug is freely distributed by doctors worldwide, underscores the urgent need for better drug policies.

I am starting to find that gap in drug educaton that I am looking at and that is peoples persnal beliefe system. Leadership a negative view of drugs and the leader has to find a way to push the negative stiga to drugs to the side in order to teach effective and evedience based drug education.

This news story is why I decided to pursue this topic for my dissertation: it serves as a foundation for future studies I would like to conduct on drugs and leadership.

Here we go again: a group of non-medical, primarily business-oriented individuals is attempting to address a question they are ill-equipped to answer. Their strategy? To point fingers at products and issues based on studies that hinge on ancient, flawed data.

I have chosen my PhD topic, which examines leadership and drug education, and see why drug use is rising globally despite the various drug education programs offered worldwide. I want to determine if this issue stems from inadequacies in global drug education or if it is caused by something deeper.

One thing I continue to learn during my PhD is how a support system truly functions. When I began, I was told that building a support system is complicated because you're the only one facing the challenges of the program. However, I realized all it really needs is for someone to listen.

I want to share this with my friends in recovery. Remember, you are never alone. There are people out there who know what you are going through, and that connection you make with others can help you through the recovery process and be there for you when you fall.

Remember, leaders, when going through your journey, remember it is not a journey you have to take on your own. Having people you trust to help you through this journey will make it easier to have that listening ear that is there for you.

Talking about finding out what you are doing for your dissertation. For mine I am going to look at the governments failure to really help drug addicts in there time of need, and instead locking them up without looking at the issue that caused the additction to start with.

You might think this sounds bad, but since I completed my master's in leadership and am currently pursuing my PhD in global leadership as well. It is a big surprise to me that leadership is not being taught at any level of education, and children have to hope to find a mentor to guide them.
