WOW! I did not see this coming. PREDATOR: BADLANDS is one of the best, most wildly entertaining films I’ve seen this year!

The nerves were out of my system after the reaction to the first screening of the “Day of the Dead” 4K restoration and I had fun at this one! Zombie carolers, all you can eat meatballs (I did!), a rowdy crowd, and a guy who told me that the restoration made him cry. I’ll always remember this night.

Tron: Ares fucking ROCKED! Best cinematography and sound I’ve seen/heard since Blade Runner 2049. Matt Zoller Seitz’s review of it is dead on. See it in IMAX if you can!

I'm so stunned by how f'ing great this film is, my brain is having a hard time finding the words.

It is EVERYTHING.

After the credits, I was still sitting there thinking to myself, "Do I want to buy a ticket for the next show?"

DO NOT WAIT FOR STREAMING. This NEEDS to be seen in a theater.

Thank you to everyone who came out for Scream Factory 13th Anniversary party! @drewmcweeny.com and @thejoedante.bsky.social knocked the audience’s socks off with a killer Q&A and the response to the restoration of Day of the Dead went beyond my wildest dreams. @vidiots.bsky.social ROCKS!

If anyone thinks that physical media is dying, go ahead and try purchasing a copy of the TRON or TRON LEGACY 4K discs. It was like trying to get Taylor Swift tickets (I imagine 🤷‍♂️)

So much so, Amazon doesn’t even have them listed anymore.

Long live physical media!

🎶Show me the way to go the IMAX. I’m wired and I want to watch the film. I had some Diet Coke about an hour ago and it got right to my head. 🎵

Thank you to the Academy Museum projectionist for turning Blade Runner 2049 up to 11. Wow did I miss seeing this in theater!

This is the moment where I found Day of the Dead after a two year search. Being in film restoration, I really wish I hadn’t started going full Neil Peart with my arms around the film.

Right after seeing LIFEFORCE in 70mm at the Academy Museum, we blasted over to Hollywood to catch CLOSE ENCOUNTERS in 70mm at The Egyptian!

Two completely different sci-fi films that, surprisingly, make a fun double feature!

First time seeing one of my favorites on the big screen! Thank you, Academy Museum!

Spooky has been sitting here staring at the “Flow” soundtrack for like 10 minutes.

If you didn’t stay for the Fantastic Four credits, you missed out on a Michael Giacchino masterpiece: A 1960’s folk style song called “Let Us Be Devoured”. 😂

He went above and beyond on this film.

I was surprised by how much I liked this!

No CGI-nightmare battles every 15 minutes, it focused on the family aspect of the team, there are no cameo team-ups, and for having such high stakes it manages to feel small and intimate.

Basically, it felt like a proper movie.

More of this, please!

After a two year search, I finally found the long-missing elements for George A. Romero’s “Day of the Dead”.

I cannot express the joy I felt when I placed the magnifier over the table and saw the first frame. That joy was for George Romero’s legacy and his sea of fans around the world.
