“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ "

“[And Christ] will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’"

Chasing a mountain sunset, and then counting the brilliant stars; an impromptu, last minute evening trip full of precious moments, shared together. ❤

I'm covering inpatient clinical service (alone) and so can't attend. But join if you can.

Be brave. Be steadfast. Don't go quiet into the night.

If enough Republicans join the minority Democrats, they can stop the President's crippling new tariff taxes. Call your Senators and Congresspeople to demand they act. Before the American economy is completely crashed.

The President imposed tariffs on geographic locales *that have no people*. Because he and his team were too incompetent and reckless to even notice some of the "countries " they imposed tarrifs on, only exist as legal designations, and have no actual residents.

The President imposed massive new taxes on everything from almost everywhere, based on a made-up formula. And you get to pay it.

Call your Senators and Congressmen to demand they force Trump to go through Congress to impose these crazed new taxes. Or impeach him for violating the Constitution.

Memories we share together,
Moments no one else can know;
I will keep them close to me
Never let them go.

Once you filled my hands with roses,
Then you gave your heart to me;
When a kiss had followed this,
Love was meant to be.

Happy Valentine's day, beloved. <3

As of yesterday afternoon's executive order, Ms. Emily Quinn (pictured below) is required by the Federal Government to identify and classify as a man.

She was born with a vagina, developed breasts, but as of yesterday afternoon, is now required to use male locker rooms - or prisons.

It's Cabinet Appointee week! Americans - write your Senators!

The week, the Senate votes on cabinet appointees. Virtually all Senators have online forms on their official Senate pages. And if enough folks e-mail, it can shift wavering votes on both sides.

Do what you can. Write!

As we prepare for Tuesday and beyond, remember that many ICE "administrative warrants" aren't actually criminal warrants signed off by a judge, and your compliance is thus not required.

Know your rights. And share with others, so they do, too.

I know many friends are planning to march Saturday, to show our friends threatened by Project 2025, that they are not alone.

With all the viruses rampant, protect your friends while you march to support your targeted friends: please wear a mask!

The assault on our rights may feel like it is coming from every direction. Fortunately, there are groups whose day job *is* to fight everything at once.

We can't individually fight everything at once, but we can support the folks who do. Like the ACLU.

If you are concerned about journalism influenced by billionaire owners, consider supporting journalism which *isn't* wearing a billionaire's leash. Don't just cancel your subscription: funnel that money to support independent alternatives instead. Like ProPublica. (See link in subthread.)

I've written before about the "pot on the stove" analogy of how adding more heat to the atmosphere leads to more violent changes in weather, because of heat-driven greater instability in the systems that used to keep cold air contained up north.

Conveniently, someone made a graphic!
