Quite disappointing. Gone is a key reason I bought Golden North products: to support the north. A smarter move would to have operate both Laura and Murray bridge. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-07...

AUKUS should be ditched to ensure we do actually get submarines. Europe is a reliable partner, and we should reenact our submarine deal with the French. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-06...

Australia's defence minister insists he is not concerned about the country's prospects of acquiring nuclear-powered submarines, despite the US government announcing a review of the security pact.

The Trump Sh*t Show proves that the USA democratic system of government is broken. Unlike with a parliamentary system, the country cannot easily remove the leader. The impact for other countries is that when the USA folk choose poorly, it is for a meaningful length of time and the pain will be felt.

I never had this belief prior to 2025 but I am now of the firm view that Australia must have a nuclear weapons capability. It is naive to believe that we have allies who will protect us. Despite its uneconomic case for power generation alone, perhaps Dutton's nuclear power policy is a first step?

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.

With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

The word 'American' now invokes a sense of nausatic aversion. Forget Canada becoming a part of USA, the USA is now already part of Russia!

"A man of the people and for the people". Trump is neither. As one friend consoled when I bemoaned the election loss of my preferred Australian political party some time ago: "A country gets the leadership it deserves".
