They call me Jeff

There are so many things to love in this world. I’m still adding but some of them are: Andrea, music, guitar, animals, travel, food, the West Coast, outdoors, being alive…
So unique. They have a feeling all their own. I guess it’s the vocals. Dripping with attitude and exaggerated pronunciation.

I love this. The lyrics and sentiment really resonate with me. Would you be willing to post the words as well?

The world unfolds according to the immutable laws of nature and science, not the transient perceptions of politics. Leaves don't rustle in the wind differently depending on which party controls the presidency.

How To Be an Anti-Partisan
A partisan lens is counterproductive if your goal is to accurately interpret the world.

In America today, if you’re not angry with both sides of the current mess, you’re not paying attention.

I’m an anti-partisan.

I found this opinion piece, in Newsweek of all places, by William Cooper. No idea who he is but I agree with this sentiment…

Why do we choose between two sides when there are myriad issues? This false dichotomy creates more division and closed mindedness.

Pick your issues. Fight for them. Don’t choose sides. No side is right or wrong on everything.

We feel your pain. Flooding is so devastating. Hang in there.

Those two flirting in the back!!

In a world of such richness, with so much breadth and depth, a good filter is one of the keys to happiness.

ChatGPT is teaching me about filtering as well. Writing a good prompt is all about filtering. The powerful, all-knowing LLMs know truth and lies, facts and fiction, everything in one, largely unfiltered mess. That’s why you get crazy answers and “hallucinations “ when you don’t filter enough.

My goal is to filter out hate and ignorance. Blue sky seems to do better at that than any alternative I know. I hope this platform will continue to add innovative ways to filter so we can get right down to what we care about, whatever that may be.

When we apply filters to social media with tools like @bsky.app they remove what you don’t need. Most other social platforms allow for very little and very ineffective filtering. Social media is chock full of particulates that are harmful so I’m looking for more ways to remove what I don’t need:

The water in Seattle is so pure you don’t really need a filter but I’ve been spending time in Utah where it’s a big deal. The zero filter removed over 200 particulates and it makes Utah water taste just like Seattle water. Filters simply remove what you don’t need.
