The real interesting part is coming—the moment when people who’ve been conditioned to believe one thing suddenly find themselves on the receiving end of it. When the very system they cheered for, the one they swore was right, finally takes hold—and they’re the ones getting hurt.

2) Tariffs go into place.
3) American companies purchasing foreign goods pay the tariffs.
4) The cost is passed along to the consumer. Which effectively is a tax on the low and middle class.

What will be interesting to see is whether anti-Israel protests will be treated as antisemitic protests by the government.

This is just how it’s going to be now. They use subtle threats and innuendo (backed by state power) to try and bully people into changing their private behavior.

Some might say “this never happened”. I think there is as much a chance it did as it didn’t. Sometimes people have a conflict where their cultural interests conflict with their financial interests and more often than not - culture wins.
