Dad would have been 81 today but he's been gone nearly 8 years now... and likely would have been here still without the ALS. Cutting all the federal funding for a cure (and so much else) is beyond immensely short sighted.

I think this is more than a False Spring... nice neighborhood walk to clear the mental palette as I work on these mixes and websites. Its been a productive month esp. nice since Jan and Feb were riddled with distractions (2 fender benders in 2 cars, neither our fault).

The Multnomah Falls Lodge is 100 this year... amid National Forrest cuts. I celebrated my 30th birthday there... way back when. Designed by architect Albert E. Doyle and built by the City of Portland it is now managed by the national Forest service... experiencing major and short sighted cuts.

Strike continues today at New Seasons Arbor Lodge. Yesterday, a 19 year employee Randy was fired for helping a disabled coworker close his register when he was off duty... he's also the union treasurer. Methinks the company thought they could get away with this reprisal. Reinstate Randy!

Last stage for any mix is the car test... it passed... single 2 has a mix! very much a jazzscape. BTW save the date April 1st (anniversary of my moving to Portland... marking having lived in the city for 25 years on that date with something very special)...
