@hartmannreport.com Thom, Chapman’s family were part of the “Morbid wealth ” as you put it. like your wealthy friend that you’ve mentioned, that passed on. Chapman Root was part of the Fortune 400. His Grandfather invented the Coca Cola bottle. For a time Chapman and my Sister were married.

@hartmannreport.com Hi Thom, i must’ve written this back, before or during the Pandemic. I go back and forth with name calling Trump, a form of projection. Projection, is also, how we/i learn. so i don’t want to judge it. it’s something we all do. but rather be aware of it….love your show Thom

Thank you Sgt...My Maternal Grandfather, a rancher, cried when my Uncle returned home from the Philippines and Hiroshima. Also thought of my old Friend Sassoon and his Uncle... His poem “At The Cenotaph"

My Good Friend Richard Sassoon ( 1934-2017) here in Boulder had an office across the way from Pema for a time. Richard was also one of Allen Ginsberg meditation teachers For a time. Great quote by Pema.

@hartmannreport.com Thom, Robert L. Moore wrote one of the finest books on the Male Psyche. The King if right-size, in his reflective and generative form is so crucial as you point out with you calls for a leader, a good and benevolent king or queen. My Daughter is such a leader, there in Portland

My Maternal Uncle Art fought in the Philippines, went to law school on the GI Bill. A real cowboy he loved to quote Bertrand Russell. He’d always say something like, “Jeffery I’m gonna tell you something”

”Freedom of opinion can only exist when the government thinks itself secure."

of the time…. These rednecks ( of which he was one) never stopped him from being friendly, kind, tough. He had huge working hands. He’d read The Greeks, Cervantes & Ed Abbey. He loved the US West and Great Basin with every fiber of his being. He’d be glad to know you carry on our shared progressive

i was 11. my mom a sophisticated ( Cal 49) heartfelt woman, teared up…. but she was more upset this time. When JFK was assassinated we were in 1st grade. My mom a young Mother, tried her best, to explain through tears. for Her the Kennedys set the culture. Her and her Dad were life long Democrats

much like Deadwood’s Whitney Ellsworth ( from Laramie, Wy). My Mother had a soft, soothing voice with a slight Utah twang. This Young Man in Tic Tok has a wonder voice & persona. I felt fortunate to have 2 Uncles that were real cowboys. And a Grandfather that read Edward Abbey, Wallace Stegner, etc

Randi, you know your shit. So sorry you had to go through that experience with your Mom. No picnic. My Mom, I called her the “ cowgirl from utah” went through a similars scenario. Fortunately our family had recourses. But it was exceedingly difficult, regardless. My Mom was one of the finest humans

I’m guessing they’re a little closer to yours. My Mom was often confused for a young Jacqueline Kennedy. Keep speaking your truth Adam. And grieving the loss of your former friends and foes. Sometimes we must put to rest even those we once admired. say good bye to them all. And let them go.
