Geeky middle aged gay guy still trying to figure out what I wanna be when I grow up.
So today, I don’t grieve what’s lost; I celebrate what we had. A love built on tacos and Tommy Pickles, laughter, and deep connection. I miss you, my love. You’ll always be my person.

This year is different. For the first time in 26 years, I celebrate this day without him. But even though he’s gone, he’s still with me—in memories, lessons, and love. I may not have had him for the rest of my life, but I had the honor of being the love of his.

Our love wasn’t always easy, but it was always real. Whether 2 feet away or 1,200 miles apart, I never doubted Joe’s love. He had my back, saw strength in me I didn’t know I had, and showed me what it meant to love and be loved.
