My grandmother's remedy for a sore throat was a shot of hot whiskey with honey. It either worked because it worked, or just knocked us kids out so that we didn't know the difference.

Class-spamming tags drives me crazy.

some guy: "Giving your data to the CCP should be terrifying."

same guy: "Giving your data to big tech is based and holy."

Also, watching an open source project stomp the guts out of big tech's hype machine is *chef's kiss*

Been following your dev on this for a bit, and it's rad AF.

Not only that, but the infotech and the internet are not state siloed. So the entire concept of state specific ideas like this feels very much like old men yelling at clouds, no concept of what the tech actually is.

The big cons already suffer from defaulting to the same people running the circuit, giving the same vapid talks. It can and should be so much better.

In my experience with several LLMs, it doesn't seem to be a prompt issue. They swiftly fall apart the more complex your coding ask becomes, even with baby-steps dead simple prompts. It's why the "AI will replace developers this year" hype is such bullshit. We can't hand them specs and walk away.

I feel both offended and seen.

He would, except he just got a $500B government contract with Stargate. Even if OpenAI nosedives straight into NFT-land now, he got his payout and government gravy.

New to me, but thanks to your post I'm listening now. I have similar feelings about specific shows on KCRW, so if this scratches that itch I'm going to love it.

CEOs keep saying this shit because it's sales-speak, not because it reflects reality. AI coding can be helpful for small tasks or as an assist on small projects, but no engineer can hand AI a list of specs for a midsize or larger proj and then just go frolic in the grass while AI does the work.
