Indeed - but LS joining the super six was never the political issue of a full pro team joining an "overseas" league, so it looked possible for a while. As an LS member I would have been relaxed about it. But just as well it didn't happen given the disbanding of the S6.

London Scottish went a fair way down this road when they looked at joining the Super Six about 3 / 4 years ago. RFU approval needed, and I believe was going to be given. One big reason RFU permission was needed was to ensure that all the other LS teams could continue in the RFU structure.

I'm sure I'd read Scott was out this week having failed his HIA. Maybe the extra day was sufficient ? ( Or I just got it wrong ! 🤫 ). Good to see him and Shiel keep their places.

Certainly agree about Gilchrist. Excellent servant to club and country. But imo time to take him to one side, and have a quiet word about whether he would like to announce his international retirement. Maybe the US out of window game has muddied the water for the Cams - or have a squad of 50 !!

Cam Henderson or Redpath ? Both in my squad. And I'd at least have Freddie Douglas around the squad. Appreciate you can't get a full quart into a pint pot

I've nothing against Richardson, but it beggars belief he starts at 7 over Freddy Douglas unless Douglas isn't fully fit.

In my ignorance, what's the WR definition of a "full game" ? Playing 1, 10, 20, 40, 50, 79 or the full 80 minutes ? Because if it's not 80 minutes, is it correct that a player could be subbed off after 75 minutes and it doesn't count towards the thirty game maximum ?

Sorry, to be clear RFU "official" policy will be decided in 4 months. But Worcester will be "invited to join" if they're not going to win the league. With what they've spent on players (whilst still not having settled all rugby creditors before the league starts) they should probably be favourites

I'd heard the story, but hadn't realised it was HoL. The position on promotion / relegation is completely clear. No relegation -hence the Red Bull announcements. Worcester will be promoted. First Champ game tomorrow. RFU policy on promotion decided in 4 months when the RFU see how Wuss are doing.

Absolutely agree about the kicking and performance. Canada's quality meant much more pressure and a higher tempo, so the passing was often suspect. Just hope the progress doesn't get forgotten if there's a stuffing from the fully pro English team. Some very tired Scots at the end there.

I think he's excellent. But the question will be whether he plays wing, as I suspect Saints want ( and me because I want Hutchinson to start ), or outside centre, which is where I think England currently see him long term.

I'd need to go back and check, but when I first saw Farrell at 13 I assumed that was for defensive ball only to get him out of the way. No hiding for his Finn - Ness of course.

Not sure AF will discard one of his boys as quickly as that. And iirc it's Piardi for the next test, and he's always allowed Porter to do the Time Warp for Leinster and Ireland. Having said that, I suspect Porter has been rumbled by this reffing group.

I'd say MBB by a country mile, but actually it's dead easy just not to watch it. However not watching a Lions test is simply not an option ! 😱
