Senator Chris Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador to advocate for Kilmar Abrego Garcia—a Maryland resident mistakenly deported without charges. A Salvadoran official denied Van Hollen while admitting El Salvador is being paid to hold Garcia.

Legal immigrants are being indiscriminately swept up and sent to places the government has no control over. And they clearly don’t care about the impact it has on people and their families.
