Thanks! I suppose it was just my turn. I bought my first Apple computer (a G4 iMac) in 2002 and I’ve really never had a hardware issue. I guess it’s just my turn.

I think fear and danger based feelings are faster than thoughts, because evolutionarily, they need to serve a reflex function for safety. Other feelings are likely slower.

Invite era was a wild time. Half the features were under construction and 2/3 of the images shared couldn’t be opened in public.

Threads suffers from an attention-manipulating algorithm that incentivizes engagement bait. I think a lot of people are tired of the Tik Tokification of every network. I don’t want to doom scroll accounts I don’t follow or care about. I want to see things from the people I chose to follow.

Bluesky is definitely higher on the artist count than the gear/tech count for most things, but overall has way better quality engagement and less bait I think, as accounts don’t benefit from that much.
