Interesting question - so I just went online and it reads "Yes, you can raft the Fish River, however most rafting trips on the Fish River are considered "float trips" due to the generally calm water, and are primarily done for scenic viewing and wildlife spotting, not for intense whitewater rafting"

The location is breathtaking and driving on the dunes with the appropriate vehicle is a "hoot".

Understand - you would have to make it a three-week trip to get to all the wonderful spots just on the "classic" route.
