Lots of wise observers of edu policy such as those at @nepc.bsky.social are pointing policy makers to a better direction for edu but Books is too busy scrolling through videos of defunct pols like Rahm Emanuel to pay attention to those who know better.

There's so much Brooks gets wrong about edu policy in the past 40 yrs that it's hard to decide where to start a counterargument, but what he gets right is that Dems haven't offered a clear edu agenda since they were forced by popular opinion and experts to abandon the centrist "reform" agenda.
