“Grok can make mistakes”. I was going to say that I missed the Downton episode where Lord Grantham entered into a frank debate with Earl Gilbert of Braintree.
Twitter outdoes itself once again…

Tough opener to the “Tokyo quiz” on my screensaver today.

Using old Evening Standards to clean out rabbit hutches. These words of wisdom from last August, their “according to reports” didn’t happen and probably won’t for a few years…. No mention of Liverpool’s chances in the entire article, so the chief football correspondent did well here(!)

A normal weekend morning when there is a short while to read before the day ahead, but the dogs aren’t keen readers so demand attention. Mark Steel’s The Leopard In My House is brilliantly written though.

Books bought for my recent birthday, a bit of everything here. Wonder if anyone else has received Mikhail Bulgakov and Paddy McGuinness titles on the same day…

As fortune cookies go, this was an unfortunate one to receive today, being 1 February.

Heavy weekend reading #booksky . Dog unimpressed.

Some brilliant stuff here (well, nearly all of it). 700+ pages of excellent poetry, the works of Roger McGough are a great way to spend a few commutes. #booksky

Decent read for #itfc fans, this. Lots about the Town squad including player memories and how the club was run during the Burley managerial era, I learned some things from it. Nicely put together and recommended.

Took a trip to the Bundesliga 2 last Sunday. Of course there was only one team to watch, being friends of #itfc. Great to see Fortuna Düsseldorf dominate a 5-0 win, not a classic encounter as #F95 were 3-0 up after 11 minutes but a great stadium and sitting close to the ultras was quite something.
