No. Bionicle always took itself a bit self-seriously and the earnestness is a big part of the long-term appeal IMO

That’s a crazy use of funds. The real or imagined value of these sets notwithstanding, I can’t conceive of a legitimate justification for why this expensive set is intrinsically any more educationally enriching than a much cheaper one
