Oh no.... I've found a new combination that I want to start trying with my lattes I make at home. There are so many different flavours I want to try. I wish I could get sample sizes of them.

I have actually known about syrups since pretty early in my espresso […]

Damn, I've been one-upped on my balcony lights.

I have the addressable RGB light strip under my railing, but I don't have an inflatable Santa, and more importantly an RGB grid array to display text.

Sad that I store my new raccoon mug upside down, but then I noticed he's right side up in the reflection :ameowblinkreverse:

Ugh, 3 weeks later and I'm still sick*

Perhaps, I either caught something else, or I'm dealing with side effects of the first time around. I definitely got better the week after Christmas, but the congestion has really flared up again in the last few days.

Ugh, this is one of those situations I hate. I need a mini hand held vacuum, and I have two options, cheap but probably lacking, or 3x the price but I know I will probably be very happy with it.

In this case I don't need it enough to spend that much, but I just […]

You know what's a great feeling? Actually receiving a Kickstarter/Indiegogo hardware project.

This time the Inovelli mmWave Switch which I contributed to on April of 2023. I've been waiting for this one for so long since I have a light that has been needing it […]

Blegh, have spent most of today finally getting around to re-writing my resume. I stopped back in November because it was giving anxiety, and the formatting was really annoying me. But now I'm fairly happy with it, I think, been using Gemini to help refine sections (expand, condense, phrasing […]

Finally picked up some proper beans, excited to get home and try them out. They're fresh too, both roasted on the 29th, which from my _very_ basic understanding is the ideal time to use them in an espresso (7 days after roasting) […]

I love when I'm running late in the morning and will probably miss a meeting and then that meeting gets cancelled.

I really need to ask if we can reschedule this meeting, it's always a challenge for me to get to the office in time for it.

YAY! Drive failures are the best!

Fortunately it seems to be fine after re-seating it, also fortunately this is the sever that uses consumer SSDs, so it shouldn't be that much to replace it, unlike my other servers that use enterprise SSDs.

Finally got around to making hot chocolate with the milk frother, it came out really well, but the jury is still out on whether it was any easier, more efficient, or even better than my old method. Really the only difference is the extra foam on top, and more or […]

When I went out to get the replacement drain I picked up some different beans. Despite these ones being store bought with a best before date, they are much better than the ones I got yesterday, which makes me even more excited to try some specialty beans from a proper roaster.

Great, my sink broke, like the whole drain pipe fell off.
I've know for a while that I'd need to replace it at some point, it was covered in galvanic corrosion, the P trap gave out a while back.

So now I have to learn about plumbing and get a replacement drain. I'll have to deal with that […]

If I see a security torx screw on something I have a biological need to open it.... well any undocumented panel really, regardless of screw type.

In this case it's just a debug header, probably UART.

Machine is get. Not to get home, why did the streetcar have to be crowded right now?

Also typical of this location their inventory was a mess, I couldn't find the home for this model, and I just managed to find this ONE up on a top shelf in a deferent aisle […]

My Parents got a high end Nespresso (Vertuo Creatista) for our cottage, and I can feel myself becoming a coffee snob in real time.... not for Nespresso, I've since found out that they are owned by Nestle and am instantly disgusted, but I would love an espresso machine with a steam wand.

However […]

Ok, that's pretty cool, my PTZ camera is able to zoom in enough to Jupiter to see a few of its moons, not as well as I can see with my binoculars, but that's still pretty cool for a security camera.

This year in review was sitting in my inbox and I didn't see it till now.
The one stat here that took me back is 1.33 TB in Google Photos. I knew that most of my storage was taken up by photos, but It's always shown as a percentage, seeing the actual TB value is a lot.

I got the OnePlus Watch 3 for Christmas and I've been really enjoying it. The performance, size, display, etc, all excellent, but especially the battery life, which is why I wanted it over the latest Samsung. I just started day 5 of a full charge and it's at 15% […]

Now that I'm further north I've encountered a lone Giant Moose. Not nearly on the same scale as the Giant Reindeer found in the city, but certainly still sizable.
