Totally agree - south bound is 100% easier to navigate, it has nice signal placement too for timing too...

I swear, traffic timing is an art - but it shouldn't be.

1. One thing that works for me is to time the end of a group of cars and get in then. I'll adjust my avg speed usually significantly down to achieve this, but unfortunately this technique doesn't work for all speeds/people all the time...

1. Lead time is a good idea but would be tough, minimum of 1min lead time for .25mi from that intersection to the slip lane.

2. I would love to see either a new bridge, or another bike / ped bridge built next to it / attached to it.

2. Yes - and it would be relatively simple. The only difficulty I see is the bridge over the 5 which could be rebuilt, its old and too narrow.
